The Law of Remains

"The Law of Remains" is a blood-soaked pageant of contemporary Grand Guignol depicting mass murder, sexual mutilation, necrophilia and cannibalism simulated by actors portraying the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (named Jeffrey Snarling in the script) and Andy Warhol and his entourage. The work is divided into seven scenes, scattered over two floors of the hotel, that are intended to trace the soul's journey as described in the Egyptian Book of the Dead.

The format of actuality filming using hand-held camerawork, was ground-breaking for its time and many future series developed the idea in years to come. The premise involved taking children to see the kind of careers they could take on when they left school. From Oil Rig Workers to Air Crew - the list was endless! This pilot programme, featuring a vet Francis Anthony and a soundtrack by composer Mark Ayres, was submitted to Carlton television and the series so nearly made it to commissioning! Star Wreck

The first Star Wreck animation was inspired by the classic computer game Star Control 2. Star Wreck I was drawn frame by frame using Deluxe Paint Animation, so the visuals are just as crude as the dialogue. Then again, this was one of Samuli's animations to have dialogue. The only thing Star Wreck I has in common with the later episodes are the characters' names. The so called plot is simple: Plingons are attacking Earth and the CPP Kickstart must fight them off. The story is bad, the graphics are bad and the acting is really bad. This is a classic!

During this crossing from West to East, multiple images of the African continent, legendary places, great rivers, arid landscapes, pass before the eyes of travellers, while the train itself appears as the center of incessant activity: cohabitation between Malians and Senegalese who live, sleep and trade together.
