Bosko and his porcine friend are hobos in a boxcar; they happily play "Cryin' for the Carolines" with Bosko doing vocals and the pig on the banjo. Meanwhile, the anthropomorphic engine is having trouble on the rails; it has to go up steep hills and pass over missing tracks. It even sprouts hands and arms to pull itself up a hill, but accidentally pulls down the hill's "pants," revealing polka-dotted underpants. In this struggle, the train loses its boxcar. Now Bosko is in distress as the runaway boxcar speeds down the tracks and through tunnels. A cow appears on the tracks; but the pig has been knocked out. Bosko must handle the danger on his own.

An old-time Mississippi paddle-wheel showboat docks, and Krazy tries to serenade the girl that's the star attraction, but he has a hippo-faced rival. When the programme commences, She sings a long song with many gestures, though the song is a lot of holding long notes. Krazy and his rival are in balconies on either side of the stage. When her performance stops, Hippo guy does a dance, but Krazy sees to it he loses his trousers. Krazy then puts on a dance of his own, but slips up on banana skins. The audience pelts him with vegetables, shoes and irons.

This one has it all, the apprentice, the multiplying brooms, the buckets of water, everything that the Fantasia sequence has. I don't know that it is credited in Fantasia, but it should be.The multiplying booms are quite something. Overall it works quite well. Reminds me of Der Golem a little.

Waffles the Cat and Don the Dog are traveling through the air in their small plane when a black raincloud suddenly storms above them, issuing a man-shaped lightning bolt that chases them. The pair end up crashing into the ocean where they meet a singing walrus wearing a top hat. He is only a hint of the strange things to come. They eventually enter a sunken ship marked "Davy Jones", which is swimming with bizarre sea creatures. It is also haunted by floating skulls and animate skeletons. Waffles and Don eventually find themselves making music as drunk turtles sing, an octopus dances and a lobster shakes her stuff. The fun ends when a skeletal Davy Jones appears.

The mythological satyr plays some tunes on his pipes and gets various flora and fauna dancing to them. Two clouds also dance; they bump into each other, causing lightning strikes that start a forest fire. The animals rush to escape the fire. Finally, an animal comes to tell Pan of the fire; he rushes to it, and gets it to dance to his tune, right into the lake.

Mara, a short film by Mike Figgis, is a dramatization of Mara-Marignan from Henry Miller's Quiet Days in Clichy. The 20 minute film was originally shot and broadcast as part of HBO's anthology film Women and Men 2. From the time of production, Figgis distanced himself from the film complaining that although he had been guaranteed final cut, the producers and HBO had re-cut the film prior to broadcast and removed the score he had specifically composed for his film. Mickey and Minnie dance on the piano to play music, while the other mice use whatever they can get their hands on - a saxophone, a violin, even a spittoon - to accompany him. A parrot attempts to join in, but the effort of his bad singing causes him to lose his balance and fall into the spittoon. Later, Mickey uses a mousetrap as a catapult to toss himself up to a wheel of Swiss cheese on a high shelf. But these mice are more interested in music than in eating. Mickey slices the cheese in a circular fashion that allows it to act like a paper roll for the player piano. When the roll is finished, two mice form themselves into a makeshift phonograph, which means more fun and music for everyone.
