The documentary covers the early 1990s in the Aurunca area (Caserta province) and the transformation of society at the time. It is told through the lens of a local rock band, led by young people passionate about music, who found themselves facing a turbulent period of resurgence in organized crime and radical social and cultural changes, combined with new musical sounds from around the world (grunge, trip-hop, etc.). Furthermore, the period was marked by the emergence of social centers, along with, specifically, the role of Monsignor Nogaro, and much more. The documentary, with text by Lilly Viccaro Theo and directed by Enrico Nocera, is inspired by the book: "1991 Il risveglio del rock" by Paolo Bardelli.

On the golden dunes of Portuguese Beach №19, a hidden paradise for carefree gay men, drama seems far away. But one evening, João meets a mysterious emigrant whose sad eyes and intense presence disturb the peace. The stranger’s stories of forbidden love and loss cast a dark shadow, making João wonder: is this an honest confession or a carefully planned act? As the ocean watches silently, their talk turns into a tense game where every word and gesture blurs the line between truth and lies. João feels the moment slipping toward a tragic ending, unsure if he’s seeing true pain or the performance of a skilled manipulator. The Act explores brief encounters that stay with us, where reality and illusion mix, leaving a lasting impression on those bold enough to step into the unknown.

After a flood devastates a small island town, debris and remnants of interrupted lives form a landscape of chaos and uncertainty. Yet, among the ruins, a new perspective emerges—a path where art, cinema, and poetry intertwine to redefine destruction. The journey unfolds at an undefined crossroads, where characters struggle with loss, trauma, and the discontinuity of their own stories. The flood is not merely a natural disaster but a reflection of contemporary crises: the pandemic, environmental collapse, the absence of solutions. Amid this turbulence, the search for meaning manifests through creation—turning wreckage into expression, ruins into narrative. Among raw and fragmented images, we follow the journey of the characters, all immersed in the attempt to rebuild existence from what the water has taken. In the end, the film transcends its island of origin and expands into a new crossroads, where art and poetry offer powerful ways to navigate the floods of life. Original/Alternative Title: Water Vapor

Pupa

Pupa

2025 • 4 min • Ireland
👁️ 25
‘PUPA’ is an animated short depicting envy, perfectionism, and its destructive effects. Butterflies, often the symbol of beauty, do not start as the perfect specimens we admire. Their metamorphosis from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly happens in the pupa, where they melt their bodies down and rebuild themselves to perfection. And where perfection exists, envy follows. Envy is an archaic emotion. An amalgamation of the strongest feelings a person may feel. It is a carnal and destructive emotion that even humankind’s oldest religions warn against. PUPA depicts the push and pull of both perfectionism and envy in the form of two dolls. One being the former favourite, and the other, a shiny new doll. The older doll’s envy starts as a sinking, impending doom of replacement, which eventually pushes her to the edge.

My father was 91 years old when he contracted COVID and developed pneumonia during the summer of 2023. He was very healthy, but the illness happened quickly. He was gone within ten days of getting sick. I'm the only daughter, and we were very close. So close, in fact, that we were really struggling with the thought of parting from each other as the reality of his situation took a turn for the worse. He wasn't getting better, and the doctors were preparing us for the inevitable. I contacted family and made arrangements for everyone to come see him. I left my dad for a few hours to prepare for the guests, and when I came back, this video is what he told me. His last wish was that I share his message with the world, to give people hope for better things to come.
