In this short film, three mischievous friends decide to prank a harmless looking man on a quiet street. As they carry out their elaborate scheme, they soon realize that their target is not as innocent as he appears to be. The man turns out to be a seasoned prankster himself, and he proceeds to turn the tables on the trio in a dramatic and unexpected way. The film explores the idea that sometimes the tables can turn on us when we least expect it, and that even the most harmless looking individuals can have a surprising depth to them.

His tactic, as it will be well understood, is that of irony, of sharp humor, of the disillusionment of age. But without ever giving in to cynicism or vulgarity and with the comic timing of silent cinema. A leap backwards to find a new way of communication. M. speaks Italian, but his language is universal. In this short film we wanted to link several short sketches in order to create a story telling for anyone who wants to identify with M., at any moment of his day, or his life. He was taught by one of the 4 great masters of karate Kenwa Mabuni, and then developed karate schools all through Japan before coming to Australia for the first time in 1971.
